How would you promote Respect?
For this SLJ task I have created a logo to promote R.E.S.P.E.C.T. I chose this because not only people show Respect with firm handshakes but many others show other ways to promote respect like this for example, two people bow to each other as it shows a sign of gratitude. I hope you like my logo
Have a Blessed day and God bless
Malo e lelei Willietony,
I think this is an awesome step up from the previous respect activity as you know are able to share your message of what respect is in a creative and imaginative way.
I think your design is beautiful. I like that the message of respect is clearly displayed through your use of the word respect and the image of a hongi or bow, which is definitely a common form of respectful acknowledgment in many cultures especially Maori and Pasifika. If you were to add colour to this shirt what ones would you use? Are their any colours that you think fit the symbol of respect?
It is great to see you participating in the summer learning journey again this year and I look forward to seeing more of your awesome posts, keep up the great work!

Thank you for the comment I really appreciate it. I found it really similar that people would choose a Respect that other people know so I thought I could find another way to choose Respect and then I realise “How does other people show respect in there own national way” which is why I chose Bowing as a Respected sign of gratitude.
Also I tried my best to show a symbol of Respect which is why I wanted to use a modern colour to make it stand out and The font I use so people could understand what this symbol is all about.
Anyway it was so nice to hear from you again and Thanks again for helpful and positive comments.

Kia Ora Willietony,
I am Whaea Tanya one of the Manaiakalani Facilitators you might see commenting on the SLJ Blogs, I am finding it fun to see the different ways the tasks are completed.
Your design is awesome I like how it brings in the use of bowing to great people as many cultures use this form of greeting to show respect for young and old. Your explanation of this fits perfectly with the concept of respect too. Can I purchase 5 grey shirts, please?
All the best with your blogging over the summer.
