On our last day for Epro 8, Room 8 had to build an Ultimate playground which was going to be fun. We listed ideas of what kind of playgrounds we were going to create. We had the usual swings, merry go rounds and a seesaw which were all fully functional.

Another year to hone in on our engineering skills. Problem solving and experience through science and engineering. We used Red joiners, Blue Joiners, axles, ropes and other Items to create our Dump Truck. We watched a tutorial video to build a lever that would lift the bed so it fulfilled the ‘Dump’ criteria!!

In mathematics we learned how to measure angles by using Protractors. After taping the tables with masking tape, angles were measured, marked and checked for accuracy. The tape was thick, so the angles didn’t end up equaling 360 degrees. Mrs George taught us that the interior angles of a triangle always added up to 180 degrees. It was quite incredible

I’ve noticed you avoiding your home, trying to fit in a new family, and losing your room and missing Dave. Dude you’re better than this, you have to move from the past and be happy for others. I got your back to you I’m always gonna be there for you… well not always but you know what I mean. If you are not comfortable with trusting your word, then here are some tips of advice. Whenever I’m stressed, I find that playing video games helps me to calm down. Instead of focusing on the stuff that makes you unhappy, push those thoughts aside and focus on the stuff that makes you happy. You are welcome to crash at my place anytime and my Mom and I are happy to help you.

For R.E we have been learning about our advocates, someone who is a voice for others.

I have chosen Ruby Bridges who is currently the chair of her foundation… The Ruby Bridges Foundation.

How can I be an advocate, Kai korero like Jesus?

To be an advocate like Jesus I know I must care for the people who are troubled and don’t have the same opportunity as me. I will show respect and provide support in my own way. I have to be able to listen to those who are needed and to show concern for their problems. I need to be fair and encourage them to succeed in life so they can fulfill happiness.

Five minutes and the Commander shouts “All hands on Deck.” My comrades and I sit in our positions on the portside with my head facing the starboard. In less than 40 seconds we get ready for the bomb detonation. Thinking now about what is going to happen to us afterwards.

Preparing for the bomb explosion we close our eyes and listen to the broadcast countdown…

“60……50…… .40……30……20……..10, 9, 8, 7, 6 ,5, 4, 3 ,2 ,1 Bomb Gone!!!

We felt the heat rising from our bodies and faces. I covered my eyes and could see through to the bones of my hands. I gasped thinking everything had been a dream.

The Broadcast counts up to fifteen. Fifteen seconds pass and

 the Broadcast says “Stand up, open your eyes, goggles off and face the burst.” Smoke surrounded the area. The temperature grew higher and my skin felt like it was peeling while I watched the radiant colours bursting into a mushroom cloud. It was like nothing I’d seen before. The heat burned into my body and face. We ran back inside the ship to avoid the heat..

Suddenly we heard and felt a sonic boom. We checked each other to make sure we were all safe.

I never want to experience another blast again.

During R.E we have learnt about what the word Beatitudes means? Beatitudes are verses from the bible that were given to people who believe in Christ which are words that people are blessed with.
